How can I tell if a retailer can ship to my Shipito address?

Shipito provides a US address with a unique suite number. You can purchase items from online retailers worldwide and ship to more than 220 countries and territories. If the item cannot be shipped to our warehouse, or your order was cancelled by the retailer and they told you that they will not ship to us, please contact us.

Which US state sales tax do I need to pay? Do I need to pay it to the retailer or to Shipito?

US state sales tax depends on the retailer you order from and the warehouse you ship to. Our Tualatin, Oregon warehouse is completely sales tax free as the state of Oregon does not charge US sales tax.

You will pay the tax for the state you are shipping to when you purchase the item. You will pay the tax for your country when the item arrives in your country.

Which US address will I get using Shipito?

We will provide you with a unique suite number which can be used at any of our warehouses.

With a free account, your default address is our California warehouse, which provides 7 days of package storage. You can also ship to our warehouses in Austria and Japan.

If you choose Premium Membership, you will get a default address of a sales tax-free warehouse in Oregon. However, you can choose to have your package shipped to any of our warehouses. As a Premium Member, you can also enjoy a 45 or 60 day storage period at any warehouse*.

Does Shipito have additional charges for heavy or oversized packages?

Weight surcharge

• 30 to 69 lbs - $10

• 70 to 99 lbs - $20

• 100 to 149 lbs - $30

• All packages weighing more than 70 pounds will be charged an oversized package fee of $40, plus a weight surcharge.

• All packages with a maximum length of 40 inches or longer will be subject to an additional $50 DIM fee.

• All packages weighing more than 50 pounds will be charged an oversized package fee of $25.50 plus a weight surcharge.

• All packages with a maximum length of 40 inches or longer will be subject to an additional $50 DIM fee.

Example: If your package weighs 89 pounds, the international carrier will charge you a $40 oversized package fee and a $20 weight surcharge.

How long can I store my package at the Shipito warehouse?

Free accounts can store packages for up to 7 days at our warehouses in California, Oregon, Austria, and Japan. Premium members can enjoy 45 or 60 days of storage, depending on membership level. Premium members can store packages for up to 90 days at all warehouses (Torrance, CA, Tuwalatin, OR, Austria, and Japan) when they choose extended storage as a benefit. If your package is not shipped before the storage period expires, you can choose to purchase up to 28 days of additional storage time. If you choose to extend the storage period of an expired package, you will be charged a base fee of $7 + $1 per day the package expired. This will give you an additional 7 days of storage.

Please note: The storage period can only be extended 4 times, with a maximum extension of 28 days. Once the storage period of a package expires, it will be considered abandoned and disposed of immediately.

Can I or a designated person go to Shipito's warehouse to pick up the package in person? What is the process?

Yes, you or a designated person (friend/family member) can do a local pickup at all our warehouses for $20 per package. Please set your package shipping method to "Local Pickup". Pay the $20 pickup fee plus any accrued service fees prior to pickup. You must bring a valid photo ID for pickup.

If you designate someone to pick up your shipment, they must be listed on your account.
