Free consolidation/repackaging services

  • The free consolidation/repacking service provided by AmForward.com is limited to 1 minute of repacking time per package and only applies to packages shipped through AmForward.com.

  • The free consolidation time is usually sufficient for most packages that only require the removal of the original shipping packaging or simple non-sealed product packaging (such as a shoe box) and then repackaging the items into an appropriately sized shipping box.

Situations beyond the scope of free consolidation/repackaging services

  • Any requests that require longer than the free consolidation time, such as removing sealed product packaging, price tags on individual products, plastic bags from clothing, or packing a large number of items tightly in a shipping box to maximize container space, or requiring custom shipping box construction and packaging, will be considered optional "Additional Handling Services" and will be charged in addition to the regular fees.

Not applicable for free consolidation/repackaging services

  • Packages picked up from AmForward.com warehouses, including packages shipped using customer-provided shipping labels, are not eligible for free consolidation/repackaging services.

  • Any additional handling of such packages, such as removal or covering of the original shipping label, repackaging, or reinforcing tape, will be considered "Additional Handling Services" and will be charged in addition to the regular handling fees.

Processing Fees

  • The handling fees listed above are for most consumer packages that pass through our warehouse.

  • These fees apply to packages subject to the following restrictions:

    • The total declared value for international transportation shall not exceed US$2,499; the total declared value for domestic transportation shall not exceed US$10,000.

Non-consolidated shipping restrictions (simple re-delivery)

  • Packages of any size may be re-shipped in their original packaging as long as they do not exceed the carrier's restrictions (a cart or trolley may be used instead of special handling equipment) and do not require repackaging.

Consolidation of shipping restrictions

  • New Packaging: For packages shipped through AmForward.com (not applicable to packages picked up at a warehouse or shipped with a customer-provided shipping label), AmForward.com will provide a corrugated cardboard shipping box up to 35 x 17 x 17 inches (89 x 43 x 43 cm) at no charge. If needed, we will provide recycled packaging at no charge; new shipping boxes are available at retail price.

  • Existing Packages: AmForward.com can place additional items into one of the consolidated packages, regardless of size, that require repacking into a new box, as long as the package does not exceed the carrier's limits and can be moved using a cart or trolley rather than special handling equipment.

Weight Limit

  • Package weight may not exceed 44 lbs (20 kg). Packages weighing more than 44 lbs (20 kg) will be charged an additional $12.30 handling fee; packages weighing more than 66 lbs (30 kg) will be charged an additional $24.60 handling fee; the maximum package weight accepted by AmForward.com is 88 lbs (40 kg).

Exceeding the limit

  • Any packages that exceed these limits (e.g., the customer needs to repack into a new box larger than 35 x 17 x 17 inches) will be considered optional "Additional Handling Services." If the customer requests such handling, the cost of all custom packaging materials and any additional consolidation/repackaging time will be added to the regular handling charges.

You can receive almost any package (or mail if you have an active subscription plan) as long as it is sent via the United States Postal Service (USPS), UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other couriers. We will not accept any Cash on Delivery (COD) deliveries on your behalf.

What is the size of my inbox?

There are no specific physical size limits or restrictions on the number of packages and mail you can receive, as long as the number of packages stored remains within reason. However, the maximum size limit for packages is Length + Girth (Length + 2 (Width + Height)) must be less than 355 cm (140 inches) in order for us to be able to forward your package through one of our couriers.

We are unable to accept and process packages that require handling equipment other than carts or trolleys.

How do I know when my package has arrived in my inbox?

As soon as your package enters our system, a notification email will be sent to your email address.

How long does it take for AmForward to update the delivery information in my inbox?

We enter shipments into our system each day as they are received from all carriers. We strive to record all shipments received by 5:30 pm on the day of delivery.

How long can I store my items at the AmForward.com warehouse's US address?

If you have a subscription account with us, we will store your packages, mail or magazines for free for up to 60 days. If you use our pay-per-use plan, we will store your packages for free for 30 days. After that, we will charge for storage.
