As such, Japan Rabbit represents members' requests to purchase and ship designated goods from Japanese online stores, marketplaces, auction sites, and retail outlets. Japan Rabbit's mission is to bring peace of mind to the people and businesses who rely on Japan Rabbit to buy products from Japan. Japan Rabbit handles everything from order management and cross-border payments to sourcing and international shipping, so you don't have to. Japan Rabbit is working to increase e-commerce between Japanese sellers and overseas buyers, a service that is critical to the future of Japan's global economy.

Cost structure of using Japan Rabbit

Japan Rabbit's order fees are divided into three types:

• Service Fee - A variable fee based on the value of your order.

• Fee per item - Varies by store. See chart below.

• Minimum fee – $9.00.

Sliding service fee tiers

• The service fee is $9.30, $7.92 for the first $80.00 (9.9% of $80.00), and $1.38 for the next $20.00 (6.9% of $20.00).

• The fee is $1.00 per item.

Cost per item

Most stores charge $1.00 per item, with the exception of marketplaces and auction sites.

Minimum Fee

If the total service charge is less than $9.00, Japan Rabbit will charge $9.00.

Priority purchasing

Japan Rabbit will purchase your order before non-priority orders. Fee: $6.50.

About package service fees

Once your package arrives, the following optional services are available:

Consolidation Fee . There is no fee to consolidate two or more packages in the same order.

You can save a lot of money on shipping by combining multiple packages into one shipment. Japan Rabbit charges $2.50 per package, up to a maximum of $12.50. Combining any number of packages over 5 will only cost you $12.50.

Photo Request Fee . Japan Rabbit can provide photos of your item for $5.00.

Split Package Fee . Does Japan Rabbit need to separate the items in your package for individual shipments? Japan Rabbit charges a fee of $10.00 for each new package created.

Priority Processing . Japan Rabbit will process your service request (one of the services above or preparation for shipment below, not actual shipment) in priority to other non-priority requests. Japan Rabbit charges a fee of $5.00 for each expedited request.

Shipping Add-ons

The following additional services are available at checkout.

Oversized and overweight items

Japan Rabbit may charge a special handling fee for very large, heavy, or unusually sized packages. Examples include bicycles, skis, car bumpers and tires, and fishing rods.

Storage Fees

45 days of free storage. From the moment each package arrives at the Japan Rabbit warehouse, you can enjoy 45 days of free storage.

If you do not send the package within 45 days, Japan Rabbit will charge a storage fee based on the size of the package. See the figure below.
